Hi Mark, there's a bit of a story to this one and don't be afraid to ask. I took lots of shots of this bird and I fully take on board what you are saying about the eyes. Usually I would always focus on the eye. The problem yesterday when I took the shot was that because I was hand holding I couldn't get much of a dof without lots of blurry images. The bird was also bobbing up and down a bit so on this occasion I just aimed at the beak and fired. I upted the ISO to what I thought was an acceptable level without getting lots of grain and only decided to put the image on because of the overall angle of the bird's head as I loved its expression. I'll add another image with the eyes in focus within the next couple of days. Thanks for stopping by and I love your integrity. Linda.
