Description: I took this image of this bird at a local wildlife park. The bird was very cute and curious leaning his head on one side everytime he heard the shutter fire.

Re: Curious Bird

I love this shot it looks almost like an abstract , I would hate to say anything derogatory about it so I'll word it as a question .

Did you mean to have the beak as the focal point opposed to the eye or was it unintentional .

Re: Curious Bird

Hi Mark, there's a bit of a story to this one and don't be afraid to ask. I took lots of shots of this bird and I fully take on board what you are saying about the eyes. Usually I would always focus on the eye. The problem yesterday when I took the shot was that because I was hand holding I couldn't get much of a dof without lots of blurry images. The bird was also bobbing up and down a bit so on this occasion I just aimed at the beak and fired. I upted the ISO to what I thought was an acceptable level without getting lots of grain and only decided to put the image on because of the overall angle of the bird's head as I loved its expression. I'll add another image with the eyes in focus within the next couple of days. Thanks for stopping by and I love your integrity. Linda.

Re: Curious Bird

I love this image and the focusing, the colours and the curves make the shot interesting. Well done.
