Sunset At Lendalfoot On The Ayrshire Coast

Hi there. I'm new to photography and just wanted to say how much I like your photograph. I would like to take ones like this, especially including these colours. Could I ask...Did you use any special filters to capture the colours? Take care, Sparky.

Hi Sparky, the only filter I used was a 2-stop graduated filter positioned along the horizon to help balance the exposure between the sky and the land. The natural colours were boosted a little using the hue/saturation tool in photoshop but only to bring out the beautiful sunset hues that were already there!

Thanks, it does look beautiful. I will have get myself a graduation filter and have a go myself. It may be sometime for my photographs to look as nice as yours though!
