What attracted me to view this image was that it was "something different". I like your post production technique and this image has an atmosphere all of its own.#

Thanks for your comment on Newark castle. Beach running from Elie to St Monans is very picturesque. However the sky was that dullish grey blue, but few days before took various sky shots as it was windy and sky changed frequently. Just merged photos and sharpened building.. When you have a job and your own free time is sparse waiting for right conditions to come is not practical.
