    Remove scars
    There’s a temptation to remove every wrinkle and scar, but before you do so it’s worth thinking about the aim of the image. The scar on our model’s forearm is a good example.

    If we wanted to create an accurate portrait of her then we’d leave it in as it’s part of who she is. However, from a commercial perspective the scar is simply a distraction.

    Lightroom Adjustment Brush tips and tricks

    ■ Quick tip resize
    Use either ] and [ or your mouse wheel to resize the brush tip

    ■ Tweak masks
    Hold Alt while painting to erase parts of a mask

    ■ See the mask
    Hit O to toggle the mask overlay view on or off

    ■ Get it straight
    Shift-click between two points to paint a straight line
