Baby Photography Ideas: add a splash of colour

Baby Photography Ideas: add a splash of colourWhile converting to mono is one of the most popular techniques for baby shots, it’s worth shooting with colour in mind.

For these few pictures we used a flash gun to bounce an even spread of light off the ceiling and onto Alice, who was laid on a large double bed.

Simply use a white bed sheet to cover the whole of the background to add that studio feel and keep all eyes on the baby rather than any distracting backdrops.

For a professional finish try adding a border in Photoshop by making the canvas larger than the image. The thin black line works great next to the large, white sheet.
