Best Rolling Camera Bag for Photographers: 05 Tamrac Big Wheels Speedroller 1x

Best Rolling Camera Bag for Photographers: 05 Tamrac Big Wheels Speedroller 1x

    Price:  £335, $375

True to its name, the Tamrac really does have oversized wheels that are also deeply treaded, making it look a real all-terrain roller bag.

Measuring 36x23x51cm, it’s within the size limits of most airlines for carry-on use, but it’s the heaviest bag in the group at 5.2kg.

Along with a generous main camera compartment, the Big Wheels Speedroller has a large external pocket with a separate zip, an extra internal pocket for a 15.4-inch laptop, and two extra zip-up pockets for keeping your filters and other fairly flat accessories safe.

Despite all this, the main compartment itself is deep enough to accommodate two fully pro camera bodies with built-in vertical grips, plus three or four other lenses. It’s a big, butch bag but lacks a slip-over rain cover.

    Verdict
Pros… Oversized wheels suit tricky terrain, strong build.
Cons… May be too heavy as a carry-on bag, no rain cover.
WE say… A tough, go-anywhere bag with excellent build quality.

    Score: 4/5
