Now that we’ve retouched the shot to replace the girder with appropriate clothing details, we can process the shot to improve composition, colour and tone. Click on the top layer in the Layers palette. Press Shift+Cmd+Alt+E (or Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E) to merge the separate layers into a single copy.

16 Tweak the tones
Go to Enhance>Adjust Lighting>Shadows/Highlights. Drag Lighten Shadows to 16% to reveal more detail in shaded background. The shirt highlights are a little clipped, so drag Darken Highlights to 12% to restore more highlight detail. Push Midtone Contrast to +24% for a better tonal range. Hit OK.

    Hi, thanks! Not sure what you mean about printing though. Do you mean print out the article? In your print menu there are probably options to reduce the size to fit on fewer pages?
