Canon EOS 70D vs Nikon D7100 Comparison: 12 VIEWFINDER

Canon EOS 70D vs Nikon D7100 Comparison: 12 VIEWFINDER

Both the Canon EOS 70D and Nikon D7100 use an optical pentaprism design for viewing rather than the pentamirror designs in cheaper DSLRs.

But where the Canon EOS 70D’s viewfinder offers 98% coverage, the Nikon D7100’s shows the full 100% image area.

It’s a small difference, but these can add up.

Canon EOS 70D vs Nikon D7100 Comparison: 13 MEMORY

Both the Canon EOS 70D and Nikon D7100 support SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards and offer UHS-1 compatibility.

But where the EOS 70D has a single card slot, the D7100 has two.

The extra capacity isn’t important (you can just buy bigger cards), but it does enable you to back up images to two cards, separate stills from movies or JPEG images from RAW files.
