Best wedding shots: the beauty shot

This image was taken with the bride sitting about one metre in front of a window to give beautiful, soft light.
I shot the bride from slightly above as it can be hard to relax and look directly into a camera. It also gives her a lovely jaw line.
Although I always shoot in colour I felt black and white would add a classic feel to these particular wedding shots.
I also wanted her head piece to be a main focal point and my 85mm lens did the trick perfectly. For beauty shots I would recommend a wide aperture for beautiful bokeh.
