    We’ve had a great year, here at Digital Camera World. And it’s been great because we got to meet all of you! When we launched just over a year ago we were posting photography tutorials that were largely read by friends and family who were kind enough to ‘like’ and ‘follow’ us. But as 2012 progressed we found new audiences – photographers of all walks of life from around the world.

    It’s been exciting getting to know some of you and reading your comments and wall posts. We’ve been inspired by what you’ve shared with us, and as we’ve grown we hope you’ve been inspired by us as well. We strive to offer a wide range of photography tutorials and techniques on Digital Camera World to try and cater to our new audiences’ diverse tastes and abilities.

    As we head into 2013, we thought it would be nice to look back at some of the photography tutorials and articles that you found the most useful over the past year. Below are our 12 most popular photography tutorials of 2012.

    We must admit: the popularity of our portrait posing guide even took us by surprise. We thought it would be popular, with its diverse range of poses and suggestions for expressions… but we didn’t expect it to go viral from the Digital Camera World Pinterest page when we posted it. If you missed it (and if you did, there were also some Olympics this year you might want to catch up on, as well), our most popular photography cheat sheet is a visual posing guide that you can download and use as inspiration for your portrait photography whether shooting models in your home photo studio or a more professional setting.
