Instagram has changed its privacy policy, allowing the company to sell its users’ photos to advertisers without giving users any notice.
The Instagram changes will also allow its parent company, Facebook, to access information about Instagram users, as well as other affiliates and advertisers.
Instagram users have until 16 January 2013 to delete their account if they do not want their photos to be subjected to the new terms and conditions.
Following the 16 January deadline the new guidelines will be in place and Instagram users cannot opt out.
