Christmas Card Photo Ideas: simple seasonal still life photography at home
Choosing the right background for your Christmas card photo ideas

Once you’ve decided upon your Christmas still life photography subject you can start building the scene.
There are dedicated still-life photography tables available to create a clean background that you dress, but a plain wall or a length of fabric draped over a pile of books or taped to the wall will do.
Alternatively, you could create a background from Christmas wrapping paper or a pile of Christmas presents – anything that’s appropriate to the subject.
If you’re shooting something in situ don’t forget to have a good look around the background to check its clear.
Any distracting items can either be moved or covered with a suitable cloth or you can recompose to avoid them. Don’t forget to check shiny objects like bauble for reflections of the TV etc.
