Canon EOS 6D: first video footage hits the internet

Canon EOS 6D hands-on video review

The first video footage shot with a Canon EOS 6D and its amazing full frame sensor has been posted online.

Professional photographer and freelance BBC cameraman, Johnnie Behiri, managed to get his hands on a Canon EOS 6D and shot the video below in an Austrian chocolate shop.

It should be pointed out that Behiri was using a pre-production model of the Canon EOS 6D, so any final assumptions of its quality should be reserved following the official Canon 6D release date.

Behiri concludes that the Canon EOS 6D records very clean video at high ISO settings (he shot at ISO 800 and ISO 1250, both of which were ‘very much usable’), but weaknesses of the new Canon camera include ‘severe moire’, a soft image, no headphone socket and no clean HDMI out.

Our testing team will be putting the Canon EOS 6D through its paces soon, so watch this space for a full review.
