Highlight alert explained
To help you get a feel for clipping, it’s worth switching on your camera’s highlight alert feature, which you’ll find in the playback menu.
With this activated, the blown areas of a shot will flash when you’re reviewing the image on the LCD.
This gives a more accurate indication of the extent of highlight clipping than the histogram alone.
