6 tips to improve your Mars landscape photos
Tip 3: Add a little contrast

As we’ve mentioned, light on Mars’ landscape is a bit flat. When shooting black and white you’ll want to add a little contrast to give your mono Mars photos more impact.

The Solution
A slight S curve will do the trick, as we’ve done here. Notice the difference between the two? A little contrast helps your image stand out more. You can also use Photoshop’s Auto Contrast and generally get good results.
