The world’s most unique cameras you never knew existed

Iris

IrisIris is the most exciting concept camera we’ve heard of in quite a while. Designed by Mimi Zou, the camera looks like a small, rather non-descript lens. The biometric technology hidden inside the white, sleek design is engineered to respond to instructions from the human eye; focusing, zooming in and out and taking pictures is done by narrowing and widening the eyes, and blinking twice will take a picture.

The technology in this groundbreaking concept camera doesn’t just stop there, however. Facial recognition will in theory identify people by their iris signatures. You can then tag the photo with your friend’s name.

We might not be seeing Iris in stores any time soon, but if we do it will certainly be something to get pretty excited about.
