Digital cameras
Digital cameras capture images through digital means by recording images on a light sensitive sensor.
Digital cameras have outsold their 35 mm film counterparts in the recent years. This is due to a number of reasons, perhaps one of the major ones being the fact that they offer more convenience. For one, with a digital camera, the user does not have to buy film in order to take pictures. A corollary of this is that users do not need to go to a photo shop to have the film developed to see the results. One can immediately see what the picture looks like with a digital camera.
There is a wide range of choices when it comes to digital cameras. The choices range from the most basic point and shoot to the more advanced ones. For the average person, point and shoots will do the job just fine. However, if you want to be able to manipulate various settings and improve your shots, the higher end digital cameras would be a better choice.
